Notice for Consumers (ADR)

The Czech Bar Association has been entrusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic with alternative consumer dispute resolution concerning the ​​disputes between the attorneys at law and consumers arising from Contracts for the provision of legal services (under Act no. 634/1992 Coll., Consumers Protection Act, as amended). The website of the designated body is www.cak.cz. In the event of a dispute between a consumer and an attorney at law which fails to be settled directly by the parties, the consumer may apply directly to the Czech Bar Association. Consumer may also ask the attorney at law to provide this information in writing as a hardcopy document or on another durable medium. For the purposes of alternative consumer dispute resolution shall apply mutatis mutandis the Bar Conciliation Procedure Regulation (Resolution of the Board of the Czech Bar Association No. 2/1998 of the Bulletin regulating the Conciliation Procedure). The Conciliatory Commission of the Czech Bar Association is specifically charged with alternative consumer dispute resolution.
